Must Have Fashion For 2013

There are always items that are essential to every woman's wardrobe. It is really a question of deciding which ones are right for you in accordance with the style of clothes that you wear. There are many options which will keep you up to date with current trends - it is knowing which options go with which outfit, because a mistake can result in one of two things - an almighty clash or a clash which really works! However, some trends will stand out and can over-ride any style. So lets look at some examples that are out there for 2013.



First of all, some accessories that will enhance any 2013 outfit - big earrings, large colourful sunglasses, shoes with bows, peter pan collars and of course handbags. Big earrings can generally be worn by anyone and as a metallic sci-fi type look is currently very much in vogue, many designers feel that it is better to apply metallic accents to clothing rather than walking around looking like a disco ball, so the addition of large silver or gold earnings and perhaps a silver or gold scarf will bring your outfit right up to date.

Sunglasses, the bigger and brighter the better, are an absolute must. Some would say that Will.i. am, the American recording artist, songwriter and founder of the Black Eyed Peas started the trend, but they were actually being worn during Paris Fashion Week in 2011. However, there is no doubt that this season they are essential to just about any outfit.

Handbags and shoes are always problematic, because fashion and trends change so quickly, but anything with bows will shine for 2013. All the better if the shoes have a wedge heel. Also, this year, emerald green is a must and you should be sure to have at least one item of clothing, shoes, bag and accessories in this stunning colour.

Animal prints are also very much in vogue for 2013, in any form whether it be clothing, shoes or your bag and short blazers and jackets have made a very welcome return. Many designers have welcomed them, including Karl Lagerfeld, Roland Mouret and Kenzo. CocoChanel has come up with an abridged version of their original tweed, while other designers have gone with shortened leather jackets. Brightly coloured blazers are also in fashion and all these jackets are perfect for any cool evening, no matter what time of the year.

Washed denim is incredibly popular this year and fashion houses such as Balmain, Givenchy and Derek Lam have given this look a great deal of importance in their 2013 fashion collections. But don't think because it is denim, that it is for casual wear - far from it - these designers feel that washed denim can be worn and accessorised for any occasion.

So put on your washed denim dress, together with a pair of large colourful sunglasses, a blazer and some large hooped earnings and you will be ready for anywhere.
